You can also specify one or more user accounts, with or without their corresponding passwords, if a login is required. The interesting part is that LOGINventory doesn't limit you to generic credentials. You can also specify NetSnmp, SNMP or SSH credentials, which gives you many more possibilities.

The acquisition jobs you run can be monitored on the same user interface, in a different section, which you can access through an Explorer-like navigation pane on the left side. The program displays, in real time, a log of all events that occur during a job, including any issues it runs into. When a job is complete, you can start browsing, using the same navigation pane, to find every bit of information about the scanned computer. This includes names, IDs, serials, driver information and anything else you can you would want to know about individual hardware components or installed programs.
